The Begining: What's the Target?

Trojan target is a blog focused on bettering newly enrolled college students and first year college students at Troy University. It will cover topics like the requirements for admission, housing, campus involvement and on campus resources. Fun Facts about the university and its promise to students will be added as well. Readers will get this information through posting, videos, and images posted on Trojan Target.

Why Trojan Target? The goal of this blog is to provide readers with the information I wish I had when arriving to college, specifically, when I arrived at Troy University. Becoming a college student is not easy. Being a resource for others allows new Trojans to feel more at home.

During the college entry process a lot of information is thrown at you. It is hard to keep up with everything that you need to make the transition easy. Trojan Target; The In’s and Out’s is an organized and simplistic reference for all the information you may not remember.

I also believe the need to hear this information from a student’s perspective is needed. Parents, teachers, and friends constantly give us “advice” about what we should do to make our college experience the best. Why not learn from the source?

Ultimately, the goal of Trojan Target is to foster Trojan Pride. At Troy, we hope to provide a great education and a lifetime of love for Troy. I feel as though Trojan Target is my way of making that mission possible. Everyone’s college experience is different. However, I want those arriving at Troy to know that despite their struggles, they had someone to help them along the way. I hope to accomplish this with Trojan Target.
