How to be a Trojan: Getting Admitted

Before you apply….
Before you apply, there are a few things you can do to prepare yourself for the application process. Firstly, make sure that you are doing your best in your college classes. GPA is just as important as your ACT\SAT scores. Don’t forget that senioritis is real! Keeping your GPA up allows wiggle room on your ACT if you are not a good test taker.
Secondly, take a prep class. Prep classes help you get better scores on your ACT or SAT. Higher test scores lead to easier admittance to the university and access to scholarship. They can be pretty boring, but remember they pay off.
When do you apply?
Generally, you can start applying for college towards the end of your junior year in high school. At Troy, in order to be admitted in the Fall 2020 semester, you will need to have completed an application by June 1st, 2020.
Try to complete your application long before the deadline. Scholarships and admittance are often easier to get early on in the admissions process.
